The History of Supercharged C60

There is a long history of publications reporting beneficial health effects of exposure to pure carbon fullerene-like structures beginning with a naturally occurring carbon-based mineraloid first reported near the village of Shunga, Russia. ‘Shungite’ has been used as a folk medical treatment since the early 18th century. Peter the Great set up Russia’s first spa in Karelia to make use of the water purifying properties of shungite which he had himself experienced. He also instigated its use in providing purified water for the Russian army. Once discovered in 2006, a major effort was placed on evaluating Supercharged C60 in regards to its biocompatibility and safety due to its high potential value in supplements and medical research. Despite rigorous testing, Supercharged C60™ has never exhibited toxicity and, in fact, has been shown to have excellent biocompatibility for all testing to date.

A New Type of Fullerene Molecule

A carbon C60 buckyball is a nanocarbon molecule, composed of a unique, near-spherical shaped arrangement of 60 carbon atoms with a diameter of approximately one nanometer(nm).

Supercharged C60 molecules, on the other hand, are arranged in concentric or nested fullerene shells from 10 to 20 in count, often viewed as onions, forming around a buckyball core.

The Supercharged C-60 molecule’s unique structure results in a significantly higher capacity of suppressing free radical activity with each shell exposed. It has a much greater number of sites on the outer shell to interact with damaging free radicals than the single shell Regular C60.

How Does It Work?

Supercharged C60 has fullerenes, which include regular C60 and Supercharged C60. These fullerene-bonded carbon molecules have a curved shape and soak up free radicals. Therefore, Supercharged C60 acts like a sponge to absorb harmful free radical electrons and remove them from the body.
